I should be grateful to Bicycle Guide, and author John Derven, but I have some nits to pick! For instance, John puts words in my mouth — has me use the word "gobbledygook" for example — no way I ever said that! The interview took place in a loud tavern, a number of beers were consumed, and John wasn't taking notes, so some errors are to be expected. Secondly, there's the weight of this frame, which is given as "less than three pounds". This is true, but the frame is also under two and a half pounds. You think they'd see fit to mention that! There were lots of frames under three pounds back then, but hardly any under 2.5 lb., practically none in steel. BTW that frame is still on the road fifteen years later (as I write this). It's still Laurie's #1road bike. She rides lots of miles, and rides hard. -Mark Bulgier
